stéphane marin has been curating the each morning of the world series 
for several years now - i even contributed a work myself to the north 
american edition - but somehow it's taken us this long to get any of 
them in the show. so we're starting with the first one, matins de 
france, which features (obviously) recordists and recordings from 
france, produced in 2017. also in the show, new works from éric la casa, 
jen boyd, blanc sceol, and two works from last year, by pablo diserens 
and simon whetham. all this started with a framework introduction 
recorded for us in norway by terje paulsen.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field 
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction 
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of 
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material, 
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
