we're back folks! thank you for bearing with me while i dealt with the 
passing of my father - it was a difficult and chaotic holiday season, 
but it's time to get things moving again. this edition is dedicated to 
his memory, and features an introduction i recorded with him back in 
2003, and also a recording of frogs he proudly made himself and set to 
me about a decade later. he will be greatly, greatly missed.

our patreon campaign has taken a little hit in the time we were away - 
we dropped 4% and lost a handful of supporters in a season that usually 
sees a little boost, so if you'd like to extend you're holiday spirit a 
little ways into the new year and show your support for the program, now 
would be the time to help us get those numbers back up!

this show is sounding great to me on multiple listens - a mix of heavily 
treated sounds, raw field recordings, lo-fi hiss and hi-fi environments, 
and of course my father's voice. many thanks to the artists for their 
great work and for helping us usher in the new year, our 19th making 
radio! happy new ears!

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field 
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction 
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of 
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
