#582: 2017.01.22
listen to this edition here:
http://www.frameworkradio.net/2017/01/582-2017-01-22/
as our 2017 programming gets underway, let me remind you, as is my
occasional wont, that framework, which has now broadcast 582(!) programs
on more than 15 radio stations around the world over almost 15 years, is
a 100% volunteer endeavor, and we rely on support from our many
listeners to be able to maintain our existence. we want to keep going
for another 15 years, so if you enjoy the program, and believe is it
important for this community of artists working with field recording to
continue to have a worldwide outlet for their work, PLEASE consider
contributing. you can make a one-time donation of any amount, or sign up
for a regular monthly contribution for as little as 1€ per month. it
seems so little as to not be worth the trouble, i know, but i swear, if
even just a fraction of our regular listeners would sign up to
contribute 1€ per month, i could and would simply stop doing things like
this (that is, begging). right now framework has about 30 monthly
subscribers. out of the thousands of people that hear the show every
week, that's very little. i'm sure we can do better.
and don't forget that all our framework:seasonal releases and our
massive framework500 collection are still available as a thank-you for
your generous donation!

ok - that's my pitch for the start of the year. meanwhile, this week's
show contains some new works alongside some older pieces dug out of the
submission archives. many of the works this week are available as free
downloads from the artist or label, so if you like it, check the links
below in the playlist. all this began with a framework introduction
featuring petanque players in a small village in brittany, france, sent
in by regular contributor barry cullen. along with donations, we also
need intros! so why not send both!
again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
