#444: 2013.11.24
listen to this edition here:
http://www.frameworkradio.net/2013/11/444-2013-11-24/
this week say us return to our occasional framework:ephemera format.
framework:ephemera editions usually occur when i am traveling, and can
visit an artist in their own space, who i then invite to select the
tracks i will use to mix a show, and can chat with them about their
choices. this time, however, it happened the other way around: our guest
jörg piringer, from vienna, was visiting us here in estonia, and we
discussed his selections while picking mushrooms in the forest in
põlvamaa. this was a very interesting show for me, a bit of an
experiment, as jörg, who works with sound, text, and video, does not
frequently work with field recording himself, so asking him to look at
his own collection from that perspective brought a very different
selection of sounds to the framework airwaves. these are certainly
sounds you'd never otherwise have heard here, and we're grateful to have
had them brought to our attention.
a little more info on jörg and his work:
jörg piringer: born 1974. currently living in vienna, austria. member of
the institute for transacoustic research. member of the vegetable
orchestra. master degree in computer science. works as a freelance
artist and researcher in the fields of electronic music, radio art,
sound and visual electronic poetry, interactive collaborative systems,
online communities, live performance, sound installation, computer games
and video art.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
