#422: 2013.05.26

we featured not one, but two christopher mcfall releases in this 
edition, both of which have been waiting patiently in our to-play pile 
for quite some time, one solo, and one a collaborative release on the 
always-intriguing unfathomless label with italian artist luigi turra. 
also waiting patiently (in fact, so long that we are slightly 
embarrassed) has been matt davies' self-released collection of latvian 
plant recordings, all untreated and unmanipulated. we also heard sounds 
from the yugen art net label by norwegian artist terje paulsen, a 
soundwalk by jerusalem-based artist lior pinsky, and another collection 
of recent uploads to the aporee soundmaps in our continuing aporee 
segment series. all this began with a framework intro recorded for us in 
spain by pedro bericat, purveryor of mute sound records.

this is the last regular edition before the sound diaries symposium in 
the uk - we will be presenting framework in the context of the 
symposium's theme: how are we using field recordings to change the 
world? well, we'll see about that, and we hope you will too; if you're 
nearby, please come to oxford, join the symposium, and say hello! places
