#430: 2013.07.21
listen to this edition here:
http://www.frameworkradio.net/2013/07/430-2013-07-21/
this regular edition was another celebration of the 4th annual world
listening day, with a focus on radio aporee's world listening day 2013
project. we selected a number of recordings from the project page
(http://aporee.org/wld2013), all recordings made on july 18th, 2013, and
used them as a skeleton for our show. we also heard recent works, many
available as free online releases, by darius cuita, terje paulsen, joe
stevens, and iain armstrong. and it all began with a framework
introduction recorded for us on a ferry to the toronto islands by james
bailey.
meanwhile, we should let you know that we are approaching our annual
summer break - as usual, framework will be taking the month of august
off from new programming to recharge our batteries (and repaint our
studio). we will of course be providing shows from the archives for
broadcast on our network stations and for the podcast, so if you have
any old shows you'd like to hear again let us know!
and pre-ordering for framework:seasonal issue #5 is going well - deepest
apologies to those who have already ordered and are waiting. we have
been help up by a single inkpad, ordered from the uk over two weeks ago,
that has yet to arrive. any day now it should be here, and moments later
we will be whisking the already-assembled pile of envelopes off to the
local post office. meanwhile, if you haven't yet ordered your copy of
issue #5, now's the time! take this opportunity to support your favorite
radio show! see details about this fantastic release on the front page
of the framework website:
http://www.frameworkradio.net
again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
