Microtonal Projects present EUROMicroFest 2013. After promoting four  
UK MicroFest events, Microtonal Projects present EUROMicroFest 2013 in  
Cologne, Freiburg, Paris and Aberdeen.

“There are lots of outlets for music which uses microtones in the many  
festivals and series which come under the banner of 'contemporary  
music'. The idea of having a festival which is defined by  
microtonality is to focus on those musics which cut across a wide  
range of genres which do, or attempt to, use differently tuned pitches  
to express a fresh emotional pallet.” Donald Bousted, Artistic Director.

With a range of concerts featuring modified instruments, new  
instruments, iphone apps, new technologies allied to research and  
development presentations, EUROMicroFest covers a range of new music  
styles and a range of internationally acclaimed performers:

ensemble chronophonie (DE); Four Alto Sax Quartet (DE); Dedalus  
Ensemble (FR); Gamelangruppe “Anggur Jaya” Freiburg (DE); Neil  
Haverstick (US); Harald Kimmig Quintet (DE); NTR (NL/ DE); Christopher
