we are just entering one of my favorite weeks, always a great 
celebration of coming spring, *worldfilm fesitval* week, tartu's great 
festival of visual culture. probably a bit far for most /*framework*/ 
listeners to travel too, but seriously, if you're in estonia or nearby, 
consider spending a day or two here. festival passes are cheap, and 
anyway all films are free before 17:00:

this week we'll be thinking of /*framework*/ regular *ernst karel*, 
special guest for our /*contours of sound*/ seminar during last year's 
festival, and all the directors who also participated.

great sounds this week, including an exquisite collection of untreated 
recordings made in northern india by belgian artist *peter caeldries*; a 
beautiful composition from (to us) both a new artist and new label, 
*hervé moire* on *aposiopése*; the second disc of the three-artist 
collaboration between *yannick dauby*, *john grzinich*, and *murmer* 
(yes, that's me); a lovely nighttime walk from *mystified*; and 
mountainous compositions by *chris lynn*. next week will begin a 
two-part /*framework:afield*/ by regular contributors *felicity ford* 
and *valeria merlini*.

again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw 
field recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction 
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of 
our  guest curated /*framework:afield*/ series. send proposals or 
material, released or not, on any format, to the address below. if you
