*#359: 2012.01.22*
our 2012 season is now fully up and running, and we have several calls
to make. first of all, *we're now accepting proposals* for new editions
of /*framework:afield*/: if you have an idea for your own hour of field
recording themed radio, get in touch! we're also now taking submissions
for the spring 2012 edition (and future editions as well) of our
/*framework seasonal*/ fundraising compilation series: if you have an
exclusive piece you would consider contributing to the series let us
know! and of course, we are constantly accepting submissions of material
for our regular editions, and constantly in need of /*framework*/
introductions. intros are easy to record and we need new ones all the
time - please join in the fun and record one for us!
and of course, *we are always accepting donations* - it says it above,
but it's often overlooked: *PLEASE*, if you appreciate the program and
the outlet it provides for all this great work to be heard, consider
donating to /*framework*/, either with a one-time gift, or a regular
monthly contribution. the show is heard by hundreds, if not thousands,
of people all over the world, but only a handful have agreed to make
regular donations to help keep us broadcasting. you can contribute as
little as 1€ per month, every little bit helps! if all our listeners
would do that we would never have to waste playlist space on begging
again. so donate 1€, or 5€, or 10€ or 100€ a month, or make a one-time
donation of an amount of your choice, and for a minimum amount get a
copy of the great 1st edition of the /*framework seasonal*/ compilation
series, or snap up one of the last copies of the /*framework250*/ 4cdr
compilation - you'll find the donation bar on the right hand side of the
website (http://www.frameworkradio.net), and more info on all the
available compilations in the menu.
this edition features a great mix of physical and online works, released
and unreleased, from the likes of *dallas simpson*, the great british
binaural sound spatial improviser; *david velez*, columbian-born new
york-based phonographic collager, released on the great and extremely
limited belgian *mystery sea* label; another release from *ben owen*'s
always beautifully packaged *winds measure* label, featuring a live
performance by several artists in the context of a new york city
phonography meeting; and a free downloadable release by uk artist *chris
whitehead*. this began with a /*framework*/ introduction i recorded
myself, at the cantillon brewery in brussels; the sound of fermentation
itself, one of life's great pleasures.
again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw
field recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated /*framework:afield*/ series. send proposals or
material, released or not, on any format, to the address below. if you
have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
