Dear colleagues, artists, cultural workers, art lovers,


May we ask your attention for a plea on behalf of small atypical,
difficult to place workspaces and artists' organizations? Not only
their future functioning is under pressure, but for some their
existence is under threat.

We fear that ending the support of these 'cultural breeding places'
will undermine the arts of the future. A policy that says it wishes to
focus on diversity, experiment, research and support of artists,
should nurture the places that shape these objectives.

The open letter briefly explains the context of the plea, which is
addressed to the Minister, the Commissions and the Agency. At the same
time the letter also wants to open up the dialogue about this subject
more widely.
