Live!iXem reaches the eighth edition and, with the important synergy with the Superintendence for Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Trapani, AntiTesi, returns to present at Ex Stabilimento Florio delle Tonnare di Favignana e Formica in Favignana island in Sicily from 8 to 11 December 2011, the Festival Live!iXem, dedicated to experimental electronic music and the arts.
The other important synergy that will characterize the entire event is the one with  OpenSound, a platform that brings together seven European partners to create a project for cooperation and exchange that puts the sound in the middle of a series of outreach and artistic initiatives.
More than ten artists from across Europe during the Festival will take turns in live performances, presentations and workshops, creating a vivid and fertile ground for creative encounters and exchanges.

Live!iXem 2011 is a collaboration between: AntiTesi, Palermo, APO33, Nantes, France; Granular, Lisbon, Portugal; Audiolab, San Sebastian, Spain; ModusArts, London, England, N.K. Berlin, Germany, Piksel, Bergen, Norway.

Open Sound Open Sound is a Grundtvig project for mobility and partnership in the training field supported by the EU through the Agency LLP - Lifelong Learning Programme

HOW TO GET THERE, BOARD AND LODGING:
The island of Favignana is reachable from Trapani - Birgi-Ignazio Florio airport  served by budget airline Ryanair. In addition, through our website (www.ixem.it) and our dedicated staff you can get detailed information on how to reach us and in convention and accommodation (packages) for board and lodging on the island of Favignana. Through a special deal and on reservation it will be possible to have lunch with local families and local fishermen of the island.
