Tarana
Formed in 2003 and led by New-York based Indian percussionist/composer Ravish Momin, Trio Tarana features a unique instrumentation of violin, cello, percussion, and multiple laptops and utilizes primarily East-Asian (Indian, Japanese, Afghan), Middle Eastern, and North African rhythms in a seamless blend of pre-composed and improvised performance.
The event is made possible by Concordia Electroacoustic Studies Student Association (CESSA) and Concordia's Music Department.
