*#295: 2010.09.05
*welcome to the first new edition of */framework/* since our summer
holidays! we're pleased to be back making new programs now after a much
needed break, and we also have some exciting news:
first, *the new framework website is now finished and live online*!
there are many improvements over the old one; you can now search
playlists, navigate through the archives much more easily, and most
importantly, you can now listen to many of our past shows anytime! so
far we've managed to upload all our shows since the beginning of 2009
(along with their playlists) and over the coming months we hope to be
uploading our entire 8-year back catalog! this is a big job, so bear
with us...
also, we are very pleased to announce that *we will soon have our first
stateside fm broadcast*! our friends (and fellow radio members) at
*free103.9fm* in new york city are launching a new community radio
station in in greene and columbia counties. *wgxc* is scheduled to begin
broadcasting at the end of september, and we are honored to be among the
shows they have selected for their regular broadcast schedule. have a
look at their site at http://wgxc.org for more info.
meanwhile, we dug back into our ever growing pile of submissions for
this edition, and came out with a handful of new names (at least for us:
*steven brown*, *sublamp*, and *hotel gromada*), an old favorite (*seth
nehil)* and a few /*framework*/ exclusives straight from the listening
community (an intro by *diemo schwarz*, and a new composition by *olga
palomäki*). next week will be the season's first new edition of
/*framework:afield*/, this one produced in italy by *carlo giordani*.
again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw
field recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated series. send proposals or material, released or not,
on any format, to the address below. if you have any questions, please
don't hesitate to get in touch!
