*2010.02.21
*a slow-burn edition this week, fueled largely by the coupling of the
swimming tones of *nicholas szczepanik*'s /*chiasmus*/ release and the
oceanic wildlife recordings of* heike vester.* we also heard some
unreleased work (available for download on his website) from
london-based italian artist *emanuele costantini*, and the most recent
release from the legendary *robert hampson* (loop / main / godflesh).
all this began with a framework introduction recorded for us in
birmingham by regular framework contributor (he also makes an appearance
on the /*framework250*/ compilation) *martin clarke*.
an announcement for you this week: framework's host in portugal, the
lisbon-based *radio zero*, has asked us to help spread the word about an
open call for radio works: coming up later this year is the latest
edition of the *radialx radio art festival* in lisbon, and they are
accepting proposals now for broadcasts to take place during the
festival. for more info have a look here: http://www.radialx.radiozero.pt.
and don't forget, the /*framework250*/ compilations are still available,
but they're going fast! we're limiting each edition to 250 copies,
which are already more than half gone. so if you've been thinking about
securing yourself a copy don't wait - visit the *framework* website to
donate, and remember that 25% or your donation goes directly to
*resonancefm* in london.
again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw
field recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated series. send proposals or material, released or not,
on any format, to the address below. if you have any questions, please
don't hesitate to get in touch!
