[microsound-announce] Call for Improvisers - Furthernoise net label release

Furthernoise.org is seeking improvising musicians to participate in a  
group of networked online improvisation sessions as part of an album  
and research project. We are seeking musicians who improvise as part  
of their musical practice and have access to a sound card interface  
and/or basic home studio.

A series of trial sessions will be conducted to familiarise artists  
with the software before scheduled live improvisation events in June -  
August  2010. All improvisations will be recorded for an album release  
on the Furthernoise net label, 'Explorations in Sound' in the Autumn  
of 2010. Participants will be featured in a Furthernoise online  
article and receive copies of the release.

Improvisers who are familiar with non-western genres of improvisation  
and who might play an indigenous instrument are particularly  
encouraged to apply.
