I’m not sure if Josh Russell’s amplified hamster wheel is also on this second release by S.I.R.S.I.T. - I’m not even sure where to listen for it on S.I.R.S.I.T.’s first release (which putatively does herald such a contraption). What one does hear on this, is drenched in a deep kosmische vibe and frizzled in solar radiation. But far from transporting one to a gravity (gravitas) free zone where anything goes, there is rather the pull and push of many forces at once that marks the highly sensitive interaction going on here. Between the ludicrous (S.I.R.S.I.T being an acronym of Sometimes It Rains Spacemen In Texas) and the luminous, a third, secret pass way, is chosen, bringing a humanly beautiful sound to bloom in an area where most others only reap sand and wind.
