coin gutter have just completed their 8th release and are offering it as a
free download from their site (www.coingutter.ca) along with the incredible
artwork done by eK (www.ek-works.net).

For those who don't know (and there are a lot of you im sure ;)), coin
gutter have been making electronic music for over 8 years and have played
with acts such as the legendary Pan Sonic, Books on Tape, Morceaux de
machines, Holzkopf, Granny 'Ark, and many many others.  They have played
MUTEK, Rien A' Voir, and Signal and Noise, toured Canada twice and are
preparing for an overseas tour this year.

coin gutter have been compared to Merzbow, Tim Hecker and 'a broken
refrigerator, hand appliances and a resonation chamber".

Coin Gutter manages to absorb many influences, from noise to ambient and
glitch, but I must say
that I was quite pleased with their mixture of these various influences.
Maybe sometimes the small progress in music comes out of the right
cross-over between various influences.
