framework - phonography/field recording; contextual and decontextualized sound activity
presented by patrick mcginley
our latest regular edition, featuring 2 long excerpts from a live recording by plains (the new zealand supergroup featuring tim coster, richard francis, rosy parlane, mark sadgrove, clinton watkins and paul winstanley), a long-lost eric la casa track from a small-run 2004 compilation on belgium's ee tapes, another of the 4 tracks from social interiors' great spatial circumferences release, yann novak and jamie drouin's auditorium (a live recording in which the ambient sounds of the performance space itself provided the sound source) unreleased recordings by jeph jerman, viv corringham and os, and a taster of more tracks to come from a cd document of the french sonatura magazine and organisation of nature recordists.
and it's that time again folks: framework's stock of listener provided introductions is running low! if you enjoy the show, please consider contributing by recording your very own framework introduction - frame and fortune will follow! find guidelines below in this mail, or on our website.
again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw field recordings, field recording based composition or introduction submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of our guest-curated series. send proposals or material, released or not, on any format, to the address below. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
