SPRAWL IN SEPTEMBER

JODI CAVE (UK/Fr/12k) - live
Jodi Cave is a sound artist and experimental musician
from the UK, currently residing in Paris. He was first
introduced to electronics whilst reading composition at
university, and has since gone to study computing at the
Ircam. For the Sprawl Jodi will perform with material from
his forthcoming full-length release, due on Taylor Deupree's
12k label later this year.

VANISHING BREED (UK/Germany/Pingipung) - live
Vanishing Breed is Alexander Holmes, formerly of 'they
came from the stars (i saw them)' how will perform a 'one
man, one guitar, one loops machine' show taking inspiration
from African Soukous, Maringa and Palm Wine music. He calls
his music the 'New Electric Hi-Life'. Vanishing Breed's album
'Between arrival and departure' ('album of the year' Die Zweit)
is released by Pingpung records.

SEGUE (Canada/Thinner/Kyoto-digital) - live
Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver, Canada. He
began making music a few years back when he discovered the
more danceable forms of electronic music, but since then he
has moved on to experiment and develop his own style of
dub inspired minimal electronic music. with a background in
classical violin, piano and guitar, he aims to infuse
instrumentation with field samples in his own inventive way.
Jordan recently started his own netlabel for dub/minimal/ambient
music called Duckbay. He has one release out now on the netlabel
Kyoto_digital and is expecting his next release to come out on the
Autoplate netlabel (Thinner) later this year.

CHRIS COBILIS (Meupe/Australia) - live
From the man himself:
"Cobilis has performed at many of the Totally Huge New Music Festivals.
In 1999, Cobilis was asked to support Masame Akita and partner Reiko A
(aka Merzbow), in the wonderful surrounds of the Players Diskotheq, where
the few people actually watching him thought he was the 'disc-jockey'. Cobilis
regrets his decision to wear headphones for the duration of said performance.
Cobilis has subsequently played on bills 
featuring Shinjuku Thief, Four Tet, Wolf
Eyes, Pita, Pimmon, Rik Rue, David Thrussel, Annie Gosfield, Alan Lamb,
Ross Bolletter & Cat Hope. In addition he has 
improvised live with, at different
times, Ikue Mori & Jon Rose."
