framework - phonography/field recording; contextual and decontextualized sound activity
presented by patrick mcginley

this week's edition of framework:afield was produced in birmingham, uk, by chris herbert, and is created entirely from sounds recorded during a series of walks along the many canals of said city. for more information, see http://www.chrisherbert.net or http://www.myspace.com/chrisherbert.

you may have noticed a sudden flurry of afield programs over the last several weeks; the reason for this is that i wanted to be sure i was able to broadcast all the shows i received, including the programs i've been keeping as back-ups in case any deadlines were missed. as it stands, no one has missed a deadline, all shows have been received, and all have been suitable for airing! so i decided to use several of my own regular edition slots for airing the extra programs. so: to fit them all in this year, as planned, i will be airing afield programs from now until almost the end of the year - i have reserved 2006's last program, on december 27th, for myself...

and one very last time, i will remind you about the following change:

*****
podcast update: for those of you subscribed to our podcast, you will now need to update your subscription information to reflect our new server. the new location to enter into your podcast program is: http://murmer.soundtransit.nl/framework.xml
