Furthernoise Net Release 'Helicoids' by Alex Young

Helicoids is a collection of melodic ambient works by composer and 
writer Alex Young. 'Simple on the surface but undepinned by multiple 
strands of complexity' - they are a collection of tracks produced 
through improvisations and studio compositions including field 
recordings taken in and around the city of London over the period of a 
year.

Inspired by early rave tapes given to him as a teenager Alex Young 
started producing electronic music in the early 90's releasing his work 
on the net labels Camomile and Webbed Hand. This is his first release 
on Furthernoise.org.

Alex will be presenting a collage of sound tracks from this release as 
part of Furthernoise.org 'Month of Sundays' performance at E:vent Space 
(Sunday 25th June) Bethnal Green, London,

The performances are free and start at 16.00 BST sharp. There will also 
be a free bar for a limited time so get there early.
