Sara Kolster and I are doing our resonanCITY performance, as well as 
some Pure Data workshops, artist presentations and maybe a screening or 
two in the western US and Canada in Feb-March. Drop me a line if you're 
in any of these places and want to meet up. We're also seeking a venue 
in Seattle for some time around March 22, if anyone can help out we'd 
greatly appreciate it!

Many sounds and images in our everyday lives slip past our notice simply 
because they are too small, or because we lack the proper receivers to 
pick them up. "resonanCITY" is a live-cinema performance by Derek Holzer 
and Sara Kolster which gathers microscopic sights and sounds from 
various cities around the world, amplifying and transforming them into a 
audiovisual journey.

Pure Data is a free and open source software similar to Max/MSP which 
can be used on Linux, OSX and Windows to process data, sound and image 
in real time. Combined with the externals GEM and PDP, Pure Data is a 
powerful tool for realtime audiovisual manipulation and synthesis. This 
workshop covers the basic syntax of the program as well as its use in 
live performance.
