Hi folks,
We looked back at 1980s and 1990s Australian Experimental with my guests
last week, Rainer Linz from NMA Publications and Clinton Green from Shame
File Music.
"NMA Publications was formed with the aim of encouraging musicians,
composers and sound artists to write about their work as a way of informing
the general public, and creating a wider musical debate."
Rainer published the NMA Magazine/Tapes series from 1982 until 1992. Shame
File Music has been reissuing the series as free mp3s this year.
This week is the final show for 2006. A huge thank you to all of you for
your support this year. Symbiosis is officially 4 years old this week and I
can safely say that this year has been the most productive. Look out for
some online action later this year
Symbiosis will be taking a break on 27th and returning on 3rd January. Have
a great festive season and a happy new year - see you on the other side.
This week: 2006 Recap. A look at the who, what, when, why and where of this
year. What rocked your world this year? Drop me an email..
Coming up in the new year: Matt Rosner (WA), Shoeb Ahmad (ACT), Esa Ruoho
(Lackluster), Aidan Baker, Aaron Ximm, RF
Ciao,
Simon.
