CALL FOR PARTICIPATION - FRAMEWORK:AFIELD 2007

starting in march, 2006, framework began a series of special edition broadcasts entitled framework:afield.  these editions are curated and produced by guest artists from around the world, who are asked to create an hour of field-recording based radio art, documentary, or a simple mix of their favorite records.  our goal has been to widen framework's lens, to get a broader view of what's happening around the world with the practice of phonography, and to create a wider variety of locations for our listeners.  the project has been very successful - with participation from 24 invited artists, including jonathan coleclough, felicity ford, john hudak, seth nehil, bernhard gal and jeph jerman - and it's time now to develop the project for 2007:

framework is now accepting submissions and proposals for it's 2007 series of framework:afield - we have decided this year, along with a certain number of invited guests, to make an open call and consider propositions from anyone interested in participating.  

your edition would air on an assigned date on resonancefm in london, and then be available for online streaming and podcast for one week after broadcast from the framework website.  you would have complete creative control over format, structure, theme and content of your program, provided it is related to the practice of field-recording.  you will become a member of a secret elite crackforce of undercover framework operatives and be part of an international network of sly ear-openers whose ultimate goal of world-domination cannot be stopped.
