[Microsound-announce] Mpls: Laptops Unplugged III

Hi all,

This coming Tuesday night will be the occasion of the third annual Laptops
Unplugged event at the Acadia Theater in Minneapolis. This perfomance
features laptop performers positioned around the space and improvising
using only the computer's self-contained speakers for amplification-- no
PA will be used. Myself, I'm planning on taking advantage of Acadia's
wireless Internet access to use field recordings uploaded by others around
the world, without previewing them first.

Performers will include:

Mike Hallenbeck
Cordell Klier
Nathan Larson
and possibly Erik Schoster

1st set: Laptops Unplugged III
2nd set: Edward Schneider, alto saxophone (solo set)
3rd set: Mega Glitch Force

$3 -- all ages
Acadia is at the intersection of Franklin and Nicollet Avenues in
Minneapolis. Lots of parking across the street.
